MANIC FREAK, created and performed by Argentina's Nacho Rey, is a contemporary circus show that blends juggling, acrobatics, balancing, and comedy to take the audience from surprise to absurdity and from risk to play. Manic Freak is an eccentric, dynamic, and charismatic character who thrives on vertigo and finds joy where others find danger. Through constant interaction with the audience, he displays increasingly unexpected skills and challenges: objects that seem to defy gravity, impossible balances, and a tiny bicycle that turns the everyday into the extraordinary. Created in 2005, Manic Freak has performed over a thousand shows in more than 35 countries. Coming all the way from Argentina, MANIC FREAK arrives in Cuenca as part of the 20.ª edición del Festival Internacional de Artes Escénicas Escenarios del Mundo, taking place from 1 al 14 de octubre de 2026—two weeks of national and international theater and performing arts.
