About this event
Trama: Ecuadorian Film Festival, an initiative aimed at decentralizing cultural offerings, activating public spaces, and expanding access to Ecuadorian cinema. The festival brings productions that reflect the country's cultural, territorial, and social diversity to the neighborhoods and rural sectors of the canton. Puka Urpi (Pájaro Rojo) (2025) | Dir. Segundo Fuérez. Inspired by oral stories of the Kichwa worldview, this poetic film follows Killa, a 5-year-old girl who must move to the countryside with her grandmother after losing her mother. The film explores themes of grief, connection to the land, and ancestral language.
